How to pay for Google Play and Android apps with a gift card in IMBA Wallet
Buy a Google Play Gift Card with us, redeem the code in the store, and pay for apps, games, and in-app purchases. Unlike Apple: if Play is set to Russia, switch the account to another region first. It is simple — a second Google account, no sign-out. Installed apps do not disappear.

How Google Play differs from the Apple App Store
On Apple you redeem a gift card on the same Apple ID when the card country matches. Google is different: the code is tied to the Google Play storefront country of that account. A US card will not redeem while Play is on a Russia account.
So for cards from our catalog you must switch Play off Russia to another region — the one whose card you bought. Changing country on the same Russian Google account is often hard (Google’s own rules: remaining balance, subscriptions, infrequent country changes). A second account is simpler and faster.
Several Google accounts: switch without signing out
Google lets you keep several accounts on one phone and switch between them. You do not sign out of the current account: only Google Play content changes — catalog, prices, currency, and gift-card redeem. Gmail and other apps of the first account stay on the device.
Open the Google Play app on Android.
Tap your profile picture at the top right.
Tap the down arrow next to the email — the account list opens.
Add a second account if needed: Add another account, then sign in or create a Google account whose Play country matches the gift card (not Russia).
Select that account. The store updates to its country. The first account is not removed from the phone.
Installed apps do not disappear. They already live on the phone. Switching the Play account does not uninstall icons or wipe app data. Only what the store shows for the selected account changes.
Check the selected account’s country: profile → Payments & subscriptions — the payments-profile country is listed there. It must match the card you bought.
How it works
Step-by-step
Open Gift cards in our app and find Google Play.
Choose a country and value from the catalog — any region in the list below works. Check the amount and confirm.
Switch Google Play to an account in the same country as the card (steps above). Required if Play still shows Russia.
Wait until Ready and copy the code from My purchases.
Redeem: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Redeem gift code (or play.google.com/redeem). Then shop as usual — Google charges the selected account’s balance.
Catalog and code in our app. Switch the Play region in a few taps, without signing out.
Which card regions we sell
Any of these regions works for buying a gift card. See the catalog for current denominations — they change. The card country must match the Play account country.

- United Kingdom (GB)

- Mexico (MX)
- Germany (DE)
- France (FR)
- Italy (IT)
- Eurozone, EUR cards
- Turkey (TR)

There is no Russia storefront card in this catalog, so a Russian Play account must be switched to one of the regions above.
Gift Card, Google Pay, or virtual Visa?
Google Play Gift Card — app-store balance (code → redeem → apps and games). Google Pay — paying by phone with our or another card; that is a different guide: Google Pay and Apple Pay. Our virtual Visa/MasterCard — when the merchant accepts a regular card. For Apple (iCloud, iTunes, App Store) use a separate card: how to pay for Apple services.

FAQ
Can I pay for Google Play with a gift card from you?
Yes. Buy a Google Play Gift Card in our Gift cards section, switch Play to the card’s country, and redeem the code. An Apple Gift Card does not top up Google Play.
How is Google Play different from the Apple App Store?
On Apple you redeem on the same Apple ID if the country matches. On Google Play, a Russia storefront usually cannot redeem a foreign gift card — switch Play to another region. Easiest: a second Google account, without signing out.
Do I have to sign out of my Russian Google account?
No. Google Play can hold several accounts; switch with profile picture → down arrow → another account. The current account stays on the phone; only Play Store content changes.
Will installed apps disappear when I switch accounts?
No. Apps already on the device are not uninstalled when you switch the Play account. The storefront, prices, and balance of the selected account change — not the icons on your home screen.
Which Google Play Gift Card countries do you sell?
Any catalog region works: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, Italy, eurozone (EUR), Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia. The card country must match the Play account country.
Why is my Google Play code rejected?
Most often the selected Play account is another country (for example Russia while the card is US), the code was already used, or it was typed incorrectly. Switch to the matching-country account before redeeming.
Is this the same as Google Pay?
No. Google Play is the app and game store. Google Pay is paying by phone with a card. A Play gift card tops up the store balance, not Google Pay.
Where do I buy a Google Play Gift Card in IMBA Wallet?
In Gift cards (navigation may also say Service payments). The amount due is shown before confirmation.
