Gift cards in IMBA Wallet: how to buy and use
We issue virtual Visa/MasterCard cards — and in the same app you can buy digital brand gift cards: choose a value, pay, and receive a PIN, code, or redemption link. Use this when you need a merchant voucher — not a general-purpose payment card. Simple, fast, and without extra services.

What is a gift card and how does it work?
A gift card is a prepaid digital voucher for one brand. You pay upfront, receive a code, and redeem it with the merchant — on their site, in their app, or at checkout.
How is a gift card different from a virtual Visa?
Our virtual card is a Visa or MasterCard with a number, expiry, and CVV — use it wherever cards are accepted (subscriptions, stores, Google Pay / Apple Pay). A gift card is a single-brand voucher from the catalog (gaming, digital apps, travel, food, and more). If a service accepts a regular card, a virtual card is usually enough. If you need that brand’s gift code, use our Gift cards section.
For example, bank cards often fail to link to the App Store / Apple ID. That’s when an Apple Gift Card helps: enter the code, and your Apple Account balance is topped up. Then you can pay for iCloud+, apps, and subscriptions. See how to pay for iCloud and the App Store.
How to buy a gift card
Open Gift cards with us after signing in.
Pick a category and offer — popular, gaming, digital apps, travel, food, and other catalog tabs.
Check the value and amount due — shown before confirmation.
Fill required fields if any (for example recipient email), then confirm.
Wait until Ready and open the card details: PIN, code, expiry, and instructions.
No separate exchange or third-party voucher hunt: catalog and code delivery live in the same app.
Typical use cases
- Gaming and entertainment — you need a platform or store gift code, not a card charge.
- Digital apps and services — prepaid account credit or subscription via a brand voucher.
- Travel and experiences — vouchers for travel-related offers in the catalog.
- Food and retail — merchant gift cards accepted only as that brand’s code.
- Gifting someone else — buy the code and share it if the brand terms allow.

Safety and limits
A digital code is like cash: anyone who sees the PIN can spend it.
- Do not post PINs or codes in chats or screenshots.
- Check the offer country and currency — some cards are region-locked.
- After the code is delivered, refunds are usually unavailable — wrong value cannot be fixed.
- If your balance is too low, top up first — see balance top-up.
