IMBA Stars: pay for cards, eSIM and gift cards via Telegram
When the feature is available in the app, IMBA Wallet lets you buy digital credits — IMBA Stars — and pay for them with Telegram Stars inside the Mini App. You then spend those credits on virtual card issue and top-up and, when enabled, travel eSIM or gift cards. This is a separate balance next to USDT, not a separate bank card.

How do IMBA Stars differ from Telegram Stars?
They are two different units. The shared word “Stars” is easy to confuse, but the meaning is not the same.
Reverse conversion of IMBA Stars into Telegram Stars, USDT, or bank money for the customer is not provided. IMBA Stars are not money, cryptocurrency, or a bank account.
How buying IMBA Stars works
Open the Mini App of the IMBA Wallet bot in Telegram.
Confirm Telegram linking. You need a confirmed Telegram login or link — not only an @username typed in the profile.
Enter an amount in USD on the Stars purchase screen and review the rate and ⭐ amount before paying.
Pay the invoice in the Telegram Stars sheet. That is the only Telegram payment in the chain.
Wait for IMBA Stars to appear on your in-app balance — then you can pay for services without a second Telegram invoice.
If you do not have enough Stars inside Telegram, top them up with Telegram first, then return to the IMBA invoice. From the website or Android app outside Telegram you get a prompt to open the bot — a purchase invoice is not created there.
What you can spend IMBA Stars on
After credit, amounts are debited inside IMBA — without a second Telegram invoice for the card or another digital good.
On the website and in the Android app outside Telegram you can spend IMBA Stars you already bought (with sufficient balance and the feature enabled), but you can buy new ones only in the Mini App. The USDT balance stays separate: Stars do not replace it and are not exchanged into USDT.
Where to see balance and rate
When Stars are enabled for the account, the balance appears as a separate tile next to USDT — always in the Mini App, and outside Telegram usually when the balance is non-zero or Telegram is linked. In the UI the account is often labeled “Telegram Stars”; that is the same IMBA Stars balance.
The purchase rate and ⭐ amount are shown before you confirm the invoice and before a service is debited. If purchase is temporarily paused, the UI shows a message; spending already credited Stars may still be available. If Stars are fully hidden, the tile and buttons are not shown.
Typical scenarios
You need a card and already use Telegram. Open the Mini App, buy IMBA Stars, and pay for card issue from the Stars balance — without a separate USDT deposit to your balance.
You already have a card and need a top-up. Buy Stars (if purchase is available), then choose Stars as the payment source on the card top-up screen.
You are on the website with Stars already on the balance. The site will not open a new Stars purchase; you can still pay for an available service with the existing balance.
Important limits
Buying IMBA Stars is a sale of a digital good, not opening a bank account. After Telegram confirms payment and IMBA credits your balance, delivery of that digital good is complete.
After IMBA Stars are credited and after a service is fulfilled (card, eSIM, gift card), and also if you change your mind or chose the wrong amount, a voluntary Telegram Stars refund is not provided. Exceptions are narrow: for example a confirmed duplicate payment or a missed credit caused by the service. Disputes about the Telegram payment follow Telegram’s rules and bot support (/paysupport, /support). Current wording is in the terms of use.
